[PL / ENG] Katowicki Ramen 🍜 My Actifit Report Card: December 4 2021

Dzisiaj podrzuciliśmy Bombla na dwie godzinki do Dziadków i poszliśmy z Małżonkiem na randkę.
Wybór padł na katowicką knajpkę Ramen, bo oboje lubimy taką kuchnię.

Today we took the Baby to Grandparents to leave him there for two hours and went on a date with my Hubby.
The choice fell on the Ramen restaurant in Katowice, because we both like such cuisine.

Wiedzieliśmy już wcześniej, że nie ma tam rezerwacji, poszliśmy więc na ślepy traf. Wszystkie stoliki były zajęte, ale zdecydowaliśmy się poczekać, bo nie było nikogo przed nami w kolejce. Mądry wybór, już za chwilę ogonek stał na ulicy, czekając, aż smakosze skończą swoje posiłki.

We knew beforehand that there was no reservation there, so we went counting on a luck. All the tables were full, but we decided to wait as there was no one in the queue ahead. A wise choice, in a moment the queue was standing on the street, waiting for the gourmets to finish their meals.

Wystrój dość klimatyczny, ale nie tylko to stoi za sukcesem tego miejsca. Słynie ono z prawdziwego japońskiego ramenu, nie jestem w stanie porównać, bo nie byłam, ale fakt faktem - za kuchenną konsoletą stoi japończyk, a to już o czymś świadczy.

The decor is quite atmospheric, but this is not the only thing behind the success of this place. It is famous for the real Japanese ramen, I am not able to compare it, because I was not in Japan yet, but the fact is - there is a Japanese behind the kitchen console, and that means something.

Na początek wjechały przystawki - kimchi, edamame, wakame. Kimchi jadłam wcześniej, takie ze słoiczka, i nie ma porównania z tymi tutaj, przepyszne! Z kolei ciekawostką było dla mnie edamame - niedojrzała soja w strąku, bardzo smaczna, ale trzeba wiedzieć, jak do niej podejść.

The starters were the starters - kimchi, edamame, wakame. I ate kimchi before, the kind from the jar, and there is no comparison with the ones here, delicious! Edamame, on the other hand, was a curiosity for me - unripe soybeans in a pod, very tasty, but you need to know how to approach it.

No i danie główne. Ja zamówiłam Tantanmen, najostrzejsze danie z menu, a do tego z dodatkowym ostrym sosem. Było na tyle ostre, że dodatkowy sos przygarnął Mąż. On zaś zamówił Miso BBQ - również bardzo dobre, nieco słodkie.

And the main course. I ordered Tantanmen, the sharpest dish on the menu, with an extra spicy sauce. It was so hot that the Husband took the extra sauce. He ordered Miso BBQ - also very good, a bit sweet.

Porcje na tyle duże, że oboje nie daliśmy rady i zostawiliśmy trochę na dnie misy. Ale naprawdę grzechu warte!

Portions large enough that we both couldn't make it and left some at the bottom of the bowl. But really worth a sin!

Jeśli chodzi o Actifit, to za cały spacer robiły dziś przechadzka po Galerii Katowickiej i na Ramen - oraz typowe sobotnie sprawunki.

As for Actifit, the stroll around Galeria Katowicka and Ramen was all the walk today - beside of the typical Saturday errands.
