Is the electricity off?😳
“Silvetop, the power is out again!😲
It was still dark outside, as I jumped out of bed hurrying to “Reset” up our generator!😅
The Mrs needed to be to work early this morning, and this marked the FIFTH power outage in the last four days.
I had just packed up the generator and cables last night……….
“Power outage …… unknown cause” was the text the local power company sent out.
Silvertop is thinking they are having ongoing equipment issues, and we are having repetitive power outages as a result.
Our Solar batteries were at 93% full, that was good!😇
Our Solar is 120 volt, and our well pump is 220 volt.
That’s our weak link…………….
We are self sufficient, but our well requires grid, power.
I put my headlamp on and started setting up the generator equipment…..
The generator hummed………..
The transfer switch I installed last winter worked flawlessly!🤗
Hot showers are wonderful!🤗
Before we installed this 12,500 Kw Westinghouse propane/gasoline generator, our camping portable hot water shower had to be set up in the bathroom during power outages……..
How barbaric Lol!🤣😇
On my “ honey do” list, is building a generator shed on the back of my woodshed.
Hmmm………..
Silvertop is still stacking firewood!😅
Three rows finished, I have one more to split and stack!
My large stack of un-split firewood is getting smaller!😇
“Liz, I’m leaving everything set up for tonight, just in case!”
I started laying out all the parts for my new chainsaw.
Cot immediately claimed the cardboard box!😻
That’s when I heard a crunching sound……….😲
Cot was ripping and tearing pieces of cardboard from the chainsaw box Lol!🤣
He has done this in the past, I really don’t know what enjoyment he gets from ripping cardboard Lol!😻
“Cot are you wanting to help Dad, test run the chainsaw?”☺️
“Maybe tomorrow Cot, patience little one, we might be without electricity again Lol!”😇😻

such a different life over there, we never have power outages here in the Netherland, well.. maybe once a year max. that's a lot of wood! have a nice day 😀
Things are much different in the Pacific Northwest.
Storms, rain, power outage…… Then we get beautiful blue sky summers😎
We lived in the high country of Colorado for years, and never lost any power. Up here we can lose power many times in the winter. 
So it looks like your well pump is 2 phase 220v? interesting as I am an Electrician by trade, most of our power in Australia is 240v single phase and 415v 3 phase.
That looks like a lot of work in that wood splitting, is that all for one winter?

The wood outside the shed that I am stacking is still too green, it’s for future winters. I use about one half of the woodshed full a winter.😊
Over here the electric for residential use is all 240v single phase, I called it 220v because strange as it sounds most people over here call it that Lol 🤔😇

I have yet to use my Solar power generator at full capacity, I've had a few blackouts but they were short lived ones.
I bought an extra extension cord at Costco the other day.

It's an impressive stack of wood, I have no idea why but I always get a good feeling when I see stacks of wood neatly packed, maybe I have some kind of OCD that's not been diagnosed yet :))))
