Finally, Arsenal got their first win and the first goal of the season and now they are en route to putting their miserable start to the season behind them. They have had a terrible start to the season that has never been experienced before and now Mikel Arteta would give a sigh of relief after they overpower Norwich with a solitary goal from their skipper; Aubameyang. They got the important win on their home turf against visiting Norwich City.

The pressure has been mounting over Arsenal and the pressure to produce results came amidst uncertainty regarding the quality of players and doubts over the coach as well. It means a lot to the fans to see them leave the relegation zone as you could hear the chants of the name of Aubameyang as he was giving his post-match reviews. It was an important victory that would give confidence to them going forward.

Both teams are struggling this season but you can understand from the perspective of Norwich City since this is their introduction back into the Premier League but the same excuse cannot be given to Arsenal.

In the 10th minute, Norwich could have gotten the lead when Tzolis and Dowell combined well before Tzolis flashed the ball across the face of the goal but there was no one there to tap in. This resulted in an instant counterattack from Arsenal as a long ball from Kieran Tierney sent Aubameyang clear. He was trying to catch the goalkeeper unaware as he hit his shot too early but he could only get the side of the net instead, from far out.

Norwich had another chance after Saka was caught in possession. Aarons managed to send the ball into the box but the header was met by Pukki who sent the ball over the bar. Dowell was there to vie for the ball too.

In the 19th minute, Arsenal had their best chance so far in the game when Martin Odegaard found Aubameyang with a long ball. His touch was perfect as he controlled the ball beautifully only to be denied by the outstretched arm of the goalkeeper before the defence line cleared the ball. What a beautiful goal that would have been.

Tomiyasu who started for Arsenal at the right-back found space just inside the box to register his debut goal but his shot was just a little bit over the bar. It would have been another beautiful goal by Arsenal but it wasn't meant to be.

Arsenal broke the deadlock in the 66th minute when Saka released Pepe right inside the box. Pepe's first shot cannon off the post as it came back to him again. His second strike struck the second post as well before the tussle between him and the goalkeeper managed to knock the ball into the path of
Aubameyang who has been lurking in the area. He only tapped in and the ball rolled into the back of the net to give Arsenal their first win and their first goal of the season too. Who else than Aubameyang; their skipper to score it!

In the 87th minute, another brilliant attack from Arsenal saw Smith-Rowe danced his way into the box but Tim Krul brilliantly saved his shot before Saka gathered the ball and he missed the other end of the post just marginally with another decent strike.

The game ended in 1-0 and Arsenal finally got their first win of the season.

I know it would not happen but what a joy it would bring to me if arsenal could get relegated. I can see the tears in both my brother's eyes.
