The 3rd and last T20I Match of the New Zealand Women tour of Sri Lanka, 2023 was played today at P Sara Oval, Colombo. In which Sri Lanka Women betas New Zealand Women by 10 wickets.

Sri Lanka Women won the toss and invited New Zealand Women to bat first, New Zealand Women batted first, start the inning very well but the ending was poor, Suzie Bates and Isabella Gaze came to start the inning and gave a good start with a partnership of 43 runs for the first wicket, the first wicket has dismissed for 43 runs in first ball of the 7th over, Isabella Gaze dismissed for 13 runs with the help of 2 boundires in 14 balls, next batsman Melie Kerr came to bat and she good strike rotate with Suzie Bates, the second wicket dismissed for 65 runs in first ball of the 11th over, Melie Kerr dismissed for 14 runs in 14 balls, next batsman Sophie Devine came to bat, after a moments the third wicket has dismissed for 73 runs in first ball of the 12th over, Suzie Bates dismissed after playing a brilliant inning of 37 runs with the help of 6 boundaries in 38 balls, followed by Maddy Green came to bat and she good strike rotate for a while with Sophie Devine, the fourth wicket dismissed for 104 runs in last ball of the 15th over, Maddy Green dismissed for 10 runs in 12 balls, next batsman Georgia Plimmer came to bat and she good strike rotate with Sophie Devine, the fifth wicket has dismissed for 127 runs in 17.2 over, Georgia Plimmer dismissed just for 3 runs in 6 balls, next batsman Brooke Halliday came to bat, after a moments the sixth wicket has dismissed for 135 runs in first ball of the 19th over, Sophie Devine dismissed after playing a quick inning of 46 runs with the help of 3 sixes and 2 boundaires in just 25 balls, next batsman Hannah Rowe came to bat and she dismissed without scoring in just 1 ball as seventh wicket in 18.2 overs, the team score was 135 runs, next batsman Molly Penfold came to bat and she also dismissed very quickly just for 2 runs in 6 balls as 8th wicket in third ball of the final over, the team score was 138 runs, next batsman Eden Carson came to bat and, in meanwhile the 9th wicket also dismissed for fourth ball of the final over, Brooke Halliday dismissed just for 2 runs in 4 balls, followed by Fran Jonas came to bat and she was remains unbeaten for 2 runs in 2 balls with Eden Carson also remains unbeaten without playing any ball. In this way, New Zealand Women scored 140 runs after losing 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and set a target of 141 runs in front of Sri Lanka Women.

Sri Lanka Women chasing 141 runs in the second inning, achieved the target very easily without losing any wickets in the third ball of the 15th over and won the match by 10 wickets. Sri Lanka Women started the inning very strongly, Harshitha Samarawickrama and Chamari Athapaththu came to start the inning and gave a strong start and took the match to the victory without losing any wicket, Chamari Athapaththu played a very brilliant unbeaten quick half-century and victory inning of 80 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 13 boundaries in just 47 balls, and Sri Lanka Women also played a very brilliant unbeaten victory inning of 49 runs with the help of 7 boundaries in 40 balls. In this way, Sri Lanka Women chased the target very easily without losing any wickets in 14.3 overs and won the match by 10 wickets, with the win Sri Lanka Women lost this T20I series by 2-1.

New Zealand Women bowlers- no bowlers got any wickets. Eden Carson was wicketless for 31 runs in 3 overs, Hannah Rowe was wicketless for 24 runs in 2 overs, Molly Penfold was wicketless for 28 runs in 1.3 overs, Sophie Devine was wicketless for 13 runs in 2 overs, Melie Kerr was wicketless for 24 runs in 3 overs, Fran Jonas wicketless for 17 runs in 2 overs, and Brooke Halliday also wicketless for 6 runs in 1 over.

Sri Lanka Women batsman Chamari Athapaththu was selected as the best player of the match, she played a very brilliant unbeaten quick half-century, and a victory inning of 80 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 13 boundaries in just 47 balls.
