Let Love Lead

Hello there, in this piece, I just want to highlight what love really means, the role love plays in our society and why we should let love lead in our homes, workplace, worship centers and everywhere we find ourselves.

In a world of too many diversities, beliefs, religion, cultures, norms etc, it can be quite difficult to love everyone. However, it is important that we love one another. Love is very essential for peaceful living in our societies. Love helps to enhance growth and development in our society. Love fuels good intentions and takes away unnecessary hatred, bias and partiality.

To some extent, why things are difficult in our society today because there is a lack of love. Leaders don't love their followers, which is why they don't indulge in thoughts that will better the standard of living of citizens. It is the lack of love that causes leaders to embezzle funds meant for the development of a particular society. It is the lack of love that causes leaders to pay deaf ears to the plights and complains of the citizen.

Many education systems in the world are grossly substandard and lacking basic facilities and funding. It is not as though the funds are not available, it's simple because those at the Hem of affairs have little or no love for the masses. As long as they can afford good education elsewhere for their wards, they are satisfied. The same is seen in every other sector. Should this be the case? No! What is the solution? Love is!.

On the other hand, followers should equally exhibit love to their leaders. It is not very easy to wear the crown. The love of the citizens for their leaders can be demonstrated in their choice of words when speaking about their leaders. Followers should endeavour to respect and pray for their leaders. Even when criticizing, it should be done in a respectable manner.

As individuals too, it is important that we love and stay united with one another irrespective of race, skin colour, religion etc. We should at every point in time remember that we are all humans before any other thing. Hence, as fellow human beings, we should love one another sincerely. We should be able to render help and assistance when we can. We should uphold good values that will help everyone succeed. We just have to let love lead if we want to see changes in our society. I see a lot of things happening around and there are just too displeasing to behold.

Discrimination is on a high. Hate speeches is what we hear almost everyday both verbally and on social media. Violence, unforgiveness, partiality and malice keeping as become the order of the day. Truth is, all these things are hindrances to growth and development in our society. It is best we keep these bad energies aside and front love in our homes, workplace, schools and everywhere. It is then things will turn a new leaf.

What is Love?

Love is a deliberate demonstration of care and concern for others. I'm not sure you will find that definition in any dictionary. Love is putting yourself in other people's shoes and feeling what they feel. Also, love is harbouring good intentions for others. Love is doing good without expecting anything in return. Love is not just spoken; love has to be shown and demonstrated in our actions towards others.

It is important that we love because it enhances growth and development in all sectors of our society. If we let love lead, there'll be no news of wars. If we let love lead, our education systems and other sectors will be good. If we let love lead, our homes and countries will be peaceful and habitable. If we let love lead them everyone will be happy.

As you go out everyday, be deliberate about putting smiles on people's faces. Be open to help and assist others. That way, we'll make the world a better place.
