This new work of Shunji Iwai is a thought-provoking movie. The film tells the story of the female singer who was deceived twice. These two deceived experiences add a psychedelic stimulating color to the life of the original mechanical machinery of Nanami Minagawa. She is passive from a numbness, slowly becoming happy, to the final gratitude. This is the director Iwai Shunji who spent a lot of energy trying to describe Nanami Minagawa.

When Nanami Minagawa knew that she was forced to divorce by her husband and her husband's mother, she just chose to be silent. I am confused. I know how she can be so calm. Is this filming wrong? When I watched this movie for the second time, I found myself wrong. The performance of Nanami Minagawa is that the director wants to better express the painful emotions of the Nanami Minagawa. Compared with the big temper, it is better to reflect how sad she was.

There is also an important person in the film. That person is the agent who bring Nanami to the deceived things. How should we look at the interaction between Nanami and the agent? This is a rather confusing part of this film. After the marriage, Nanami met with the agent. The agent suddenly said that he could catch up with her as long as he thought. At this time, we were as surprised as Nanami. I thought that the film would start to develop into a love movie, but quickly he said that "You misunderstood what I meant." It is also after this conversation that the heroine has almost no choice but to fall into a series of big and small scams, and in a completely passive manner, under the guidance of the agent.

This scene is almost the most important scene of the film. Before that, the good-natured Nanami lived a kind of ignorant day. As a teacher, she didn't know how to give lectures. On the dating website, she met a man who didn't feel much about it. She just get married although she did not know whether she love him or not. She doesn't know what she needs to do. In other words, this is a typical person who lives completely in the passive, driven by the tide, and never has the courage and consciousness to make her own choice. To make matters worse, she did not know this, and she was not aware that this was the cause of her numb and boring life.

Are people born to be active and full of positive energy to live? With his extremely delicate mind, Iwai Shunji noticed the flash of the passive people. It took him nearly three hours to show us a life full of affectionate passive people, and with emotional and meticulous attention to the passive people with emotional care. Here, justice, morality, ethics, and good and evil are irrelevant. What matters is that we are compassionate to the mentally weak and carry out a transcendental reality. Being a passive weak does not mean that they do not need passion, ideals and love.
