Argument in the origin of human language

There is a debate right now amongst my course mates on the origin of man's language and some debaters had made their points tracing to a million years ago.

Some made points and related men to come from the family of apes which I opposed and would give my clear reasons. I really didn't say anything in class today but sat back to listen and take notes of every argument each student made.

The debate is still on and speculations made ideologically. The lecturer had given it to us as a task to go back home and rethink on the matter and get back to her in the next class with our different speculations.

I really couldn't take in one of the opinions that mentioned that humans are related to apes and primates. Why would someone in her right senses' say that, though they were giving one speculation or the other but the difference is undoubtedly clear.

First, humans are distinctive beings in nature from the aspect of looks. We walk uprightly while other apes and primates don't. These primates in question make sounds and not speech according to how they feel i.e sexually or when a predator is sensed to be around example the hens which are with chicks etc.

Apes and other primates have grunts and social calls, but they do not seem to have developed the capacity for speech.
Humans larynx or voice box differs significantly from that of monkey's or any other primates.

Second we have teeth and tongue which are not bent but straight and slightly rough which aid in the pronunciation of words
and we also have a larynx.

Coming back to human language divinely we see that Adam was the first man and named everything on earth which also digresses to the story of the tower of Babel where different languages were issued to men.

It had also been figured that in primitive times, children were isolated so as to figure that out if they would speak anything different so as to know the original God given language but those kids ended up uttering what wasn't understood though spoke out as normal humans and not as animals which only groans according to how they feel at the moment.

I really don't see any reason why someone should say humans originated from apes when looking at our speech vocals it differs big time from that of animals.

Have a lovely day folks🥰.

I normally run away from such discussions because I'd say we don't really have a concrete idea where and how we evolved.

They're a lot of theories and historical views of how we came into existence and each one is believed strongly by some sets of people. I'll just stick to what I was taught and live life. I was created in the image and likeness of God and I agree perfectly with that. If someone wants to agree with being an ape turn human then no wahala! 😂

Lol. I also have hold on to the same believe that I was created by God on his age and likeness there's no contradiction to that. Thanks for your comment dear.
