Boy's food

During the fasting month, the boys' food was limited to fast food. Pizza, burgers, and bourek were staples. I know bourek isn't typically found in fast food joints, and even if they do sell it there, it's a bit pricey. Bourek is usually served as an appetizer alongside a soup, mainly made of minced meat, cheese, and olives, all wrapped in a thin pastry sheet.

Of course, this recipe has many variations; there are all kinds of bourek with potatoes and eggs, spinach and cheese, or meat. I've even had boureks with shrimp, and seriously, they were delicious.

In summary, you can make them with whatever you like, everyone has their own preferences. I think you can see the bourek I prepared in the photo, sorry for the rushed picture taken just minutes before breaking the fast; we had to hurry to make sure everything was ready on time.

Because the half-hour before breaking the fast is chaotic in the kitchen, every minute counts, adjustments are made at lightning speed. Thank God, so far everything has been served and placed on the table on time, although sometimes I wished all my dishes were at the ideal temperature, but it's almost impossible; not everything can be served down to the minute.
