I remember a time when losing to the Hornets was basically the worst thing that you could possibly do as an NBA team. I'm a Carolina Panther fan but pay so little attention to their NBA team that I was unaware that they changed the name back from Bobcats. I suppose that was a New Orleans team sale problem that got resolved when they decided to go for a much tougher sounding animal like a Pelican.

Yeah that was a tough game vs the Hornets but the Hornets are fairly decent too. Yeah those franchises were a bit confusing for a few years there haha
I just can't understand how anyone could name a team the Pelicans and think it is a good idea. I mean I have nothing against Pelicans, but those jersey sales can't be very good.
True it's certainly a unique name, I guess it stands out at least haha
