Rome is a magical secret, and I think your first photo of the Knights of Malta Keyhole illustrates my perception in the best way.
You can see something through the keyhole. It is something very beautiful. A famous historical landmark. But you will never get to the secrets of the things you see through the lock. They are unattainable.
That is why Rome is so desired by all. It is a mystery that will never be solved. That's why I understand your feelings. They're pretty inexplicable, aren't they? 😊
