It definitely cuts down on the heating cost my friend!π
If absolutely necessary, I also have a mini split heat pump that will heat and cool the home!π

I'm sure the savings are notable indeed! See, that's how it's supposed to be done, having backups and redundancy! πππβ¨π€
You definitely need backups in the Pacific Northwest!π
Sometimes we are stranded for a week in deep snowβ¦β¦
Just not this year so far Lolπ
See, you plan for your region, which is something everyone should do! There's something very appealing about the sound of that, but then again I'm a jungle hermit...lol! Oh, that's right, you guys haven't gotten any snow yet! Well, that's one thing that I don't have to send you! πππβ¨π€
The snow is progressing down the mountains my friend..... it is coming!!!π₯Ά
Time to put snow tires on Liz's car Monday!!π
Oh, so you've got a lot of snow right after a whole bunch of rain! At least it wasn't freezing rain! I hope that it goes smoothly with the tires! πππβ¨π€
No snow down by us yet my friend.... snow level is about 2000 feet, and we are at about 500 feet above sea level... it is coming!!ππ
That's so interesting that the snow comes down from the mountains in a progressive fashion. It sounds pretty cool! πππβ¨π€
Itβs very interesting to watch the progression of snow down the mountain!π
In Colorado, it did the same, and you could watch it come down the valley towards you!π
You knew 30 minutes before you got snow that it was coming!π
Well that's a pretty nifty snow-notification system! I've never lived anywhere like that! πππβ¨π€
Itβs definitely very unique, my friend!π
We could be out in the pasture in Colorado and you have just enough time to grab your coat as this snowstorm came down the valleyπ
That's very convenient indeed! I'd love to see that happen! πππβ¨π€
I do miss the high country of Colorado very unique!!!πππ
Are you in a lower high country now where you are? πππβ¨π€
In Colorado our home was at 7,988 feet above sea level.....
Our home in Washington state in the Pacific Northwest is only about 500 feet above sea level!!π
Holy moly, OK, you're in the lowlands by comparison, but still high enough not to flood! πππβ¨π€
Absolutely my friend, it's hard to compare to over 7000 feet above sea level in your living room ....Lolπ
Most of the mountains in the Pacific Northwest aren't even that tall Lolπ
I suppose that the 'mountains' in the Pacific Northwest should probably be called 'hills' then...lol! πππβ¨π€
lolβ¦β¦ So very true!πβΊοΈπ€£
They are beautiful, and itβs home, but they donβt compare to the 14 thousand foot peaks of Colorado!π
Indeed, though I'm sure that it's a bit warmer where you are now! πππβ¨π€
Warmer, but damperβ¦.π₯Ά
We were seeing 38Β° with a cold misty rain today, nice weather for a nice warm fire!ππ
Ah, yes, the dampness can definitely make it feel colder. Yeah, that's ideal weather for a beautiful fire! I love fires! πππβ¨π€
Now, if I can dodge the raindrops to go bring more firewood in for that fire Lol!ππ
You could build an underground tunnel from the house to the wood shed! πππβ¨π€
Hmmm.... Now that's an idea, I'll have to give that some thought Lol!!πππ
I had a feeling that you might like that one! I lived on an property one time with an old brick farmhouse dated from the late 1700s, and it had an underground tunnel from the house to the barn, across the driveway. I always thought that was pretty cool! πππβ¨π€
It does sound pretty cool, I wonder what the reason was why they built the tunnel?
That's a good question, and I'm not sure if was even known, since there was never any explanation around it. πππβ¨π€
Hmmmβ¦β¦π€
Still, it sounds interesting!π
Indeedy, just imagine being able to retrieve your needed wood without having to brave the elements! πππβ¨π€
That would be very wonderful on cold rainy days, my friend!ππβΊοΈ
Indeed, imagine a toasty warm tunnel! πππβ¨π€
