It really doesn’t take much to make our furry boys happy!
Just leave a cardboard box or two on the floor, with some Christmas wrapping paper, and step back Lol!☺️
Both boys took my Christmas present wrapping, as the perfect opportunity to shred anything within reach of their claws…… or teeth!🤣😺
“Did you hear that Cot!”😳………………..
It was a sound, that made you stop in your tracks!😬
Something BIG just happened outside!😮
Did a stack of firewood in our wood shed just collapse and fall……….or did Liz’s outdoor greenhouse get blown away from the powerful high winds that were blowing today!
It was still dark outside, so Silvertop grabbed a flashlight and started to go window to window shining the strong beam of light outside, looking for answers…………
I couldn’t see anything that was out of place, so I went back to wrapping Christmas presents!😊
Sunrise today was 7:55 AM, and about that time I walked by our patio doors………
Ohhh…………………
So that’s what made all the noise this morning!😳
After back, to back, to back, “ atmospheric rivers”, yes three in a row, today’s weather was rain with high winds!😬
That was all that was needed, to take down what appears to be a couple of Big Leaf Maple trees!
This Spring I planted four baby trees exactly where these trees fell!😮
I really wasn’t expecting the baby trees to have survived…….
I finished wrapping the last present today, Then I rechecked to be sure I hadn’t accidentally wrapped Cot inside one of the boxes Lol!😇😻
Cot was fast asleep at this point, (of course), so I grabbed my coat, and headed out to the backyard to access the damages!
Now some people would see trees that have just fallen from the winds, creating a mess in the backyard…..not Silvertop Lol!😇
I see almost two cords of firewood that will be added to Silvertop’s 17 cords of wood already split, and stacked!🤗👍
“Santa…….. don’t bring me that lump of Coal this year, I’ll take more firewood Lol!”🤗

Thanks my friend these maple trees were back in the woods and were already dead...
I have been watching them for several years and finally the wind took them down.
I guess the good thing is they're already seasoned, I will just add these to my ever enlarging stack of firewood Lol!!

I have about 17 chords, with these two maple trees that might put me close to 19 chords!!🤗💪

No snow down by us yet my friend.... snow level is about 2000 feet, and we are at about 500 feet above sea level... it is coming!!😇😀

In Colorado our home was at 7,988 feet above sea level.....
Our home in Washington state in the Pacific Northwest is only about 500 feet above sea level!!😇

I had a feeling that you might like that one! I lived on an property one time with an old brick farmhouse dated from the late 1700s, and it had an underground tunnel from the house to the barn, across the driveway. I always thought that was pretty cool! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
