What a big change just a couple of day make…….
The Mountains are still green, but sprinkled here and there, brilliant orange leaves are appearing!
I mowed my lawn a week ago, and now I have a carpet of leaves!☺️
Silvertop’s son called, and he was saying the trees on the Eastern side of the Mountains are turning colors fast!
Doesn’t it seem like Fall is coming quick this year!😳
Our long hike today, we started at 10:30AM , hoping to beat the heat of the. day.
Jan our friend came with Silvertop and Liz!😊
We hit a high temperature of 75 degrees Fahrenheit…… yep, we beat the heat today Lol!🤣
The “High Ridge” to “Slumbering Bear” onward to “Soaring Eagle”…………
Liz and Jan stopped at the top……
Liz still has a sore back, so Silvertop hiked down to snap the last photo looking through the trees on “Soaring Eagles”!😊
I quickly hiked back up to the Ladies and we continued onward to “Towhee Ridge” for a lunch break!
A very nice Labor Day……a very nice hike !🤗
I hope everyone had a good start to the new week, stay healthy my friends!

I bet there are lots of squirrels in that forest, @silvertop .
I can imagine they are all over the forest floor, making all that noise on the carpet of leaves!
Liz must be in discomfort... hopefully hiking is not aggravating her condition. It has been quite a while now. Maybe a chiropractor can help?
It seems to come and go with Liz's back @silversaver888 , I think today it's better, maybe the long hike yesterday helped!😇
Here in the UK we have mostly grey squirrels, but also the red squirrel which was the only species here until someone introduced the grey version. You can only find the red squirrel in the wild up in Scotland now as its habitat has been claimed by the more aggressive grey.
How many different squirrels are there where you live?

Never have I seen squirrels in person.
Perhaps they won't survive tropical climate.
That’s interesting, when we lived in the high country in the Mountains we did not have squirrels either!🤔
They can’t be destructive, they chew everything!
