How Many Switchback’s…….😊
Wow, that’s a drop Silvertop!😲
This is common for roads and trails in the Mountains. Soaring Eagle is a steep drop!!!
Covered with deep fluffy Colorado power this hillside would be equivalent to “Telluride’s Plunge”!😳
“Steep, and deep” is the way skies would describe the drop!
As I descended down this Mountainside, I snapped photos of these four switchbacks along the way!
The view is so nice in the first photo, I had to drop it here, but it is actually the third switchback Lol!😇
So Silvertop will start with the second photo, at the top……………
The trail is steep, it really sneaks up on you. You start traversing the mountain several thousand feet. That’s when you encounter this switch back. Already you want to stop and take in the view!
Down Silvertop continued hiking……….
The gravel switchback in the third photo is our next stop. This is interesting everywhere I step is sedimentary rock. This was Ocean floor at one time!
Onward a hike……..
That brings me to the stunning view in the first photo! This is the perfect spot for a lunch break, just enjoying the view!
I will need to mention that to the Mrs!

As I follow the trail, continuing to descend, I come to the last switchback in the fourth photo.
At this point I am only halfway down the mountain side! From here the trail continues straight down at a steady decent!
Now that’s a workout my friends, time to head home!😅

I can see you are partial to the Soaring Eagle trail, dear. It will be off limits on Sunday because of a wedding close to it. I really wanted to hike it Sunday, but the other trails are also nice! Thanks for doing a mini hike with me tonight, dear! 😘🤗💘😍 !LADY
