Slow down Silvertop!!!😲
Liz needed to run to town today and Silvertop tagged along!🥰
This was the first I have seen of the immense cleanup operation from the flooding with my own eyes!
The major bridge accessing town is down to one lane because of possible structural damage. We stopped at the post office and this is what we saw!😳
The center of town is a flurry of activity, one one end free food, clothing, water, and bathroom’s. Then the other side you can see trucks lined up to dispose of everything from their homes!
I didn’t expect to see piles of refrigerator’s, freezer’s, and bathtubs!

One of the reasons we went to town was to go to our LCS.

Every year the Silver Gold Stackers Community has a “Secret Santa” gift exchange. It’s too late to join this year, but all are welcome.
Silvertop and Liz made the trip to our “Local Coin Shop” for a Silver round gift for the person we secretly drew!😇
Hats off to @welshstacher for organizing this each year, awesome my friend!
Amazing that people around the World send Silver gifts anonymously to each other!
Down in the “big City” of Bellingham, the Sun started to come out, It was business as usual.
It felt like a World apart from the flooding devastation of the Everson, Sumas and Nooksack valley……..😟
