You are a joy @chincoculbert. I found a friend in you too🙏And you made me lol so hard. I was almost truly ROTFL. You don't need me or @mineopoly to go on holiday🤣 You are standing strong on your own two feet and I am absolutely convinced that winning WOTW is completely within your grasp. Your writing has grown from strength to strength and I am blown away by what you have produced this past month. I want to say your time has come😍 because I truly believe you are capable right here right now, but we can't all win the contest or even place each week. So yeah...your time has come to shine...and you are well placed with your dedication and authenticity to win it. Remember, you compete against yourself. Look at the Merit grading system each week. Look carefully. Note every score you got in each category. Go back and look at your article from that grading's perspective. Figure out what made the grade strong or weak and work on improving and fixing the next week. I was just missing the honours and then I worked through some of the weaknesses in my submissions and pulled those extra few points out of the bag to place, and then win a couple ... I don't think @mineopoly or myself are going anywhere hee hee and neither are the rest of the talented tribe who compete each week ha ha ... whether I place or not, I will keep coming back for the challenge and joy that WOTW brings me as an author and a curator. So, keep the faith, my friend. I look forward to cheering you on wildly when you do leapfrog us all to take 1st place.
