HODLING Is Like Watching Your Favorite Sport Game

HODLING is the process of holding your cryptos without considering the current price. You don’t care if the price goes up or down, you just stay invested long-term. Just like the meaning HODL(Hold On for Dear Life), you hold on for a very long time because of the confidence you have in it. No one can predict the market, no one knows how the market will go, just like football, anything can happen. So the only strategy you have is to hodl.

Just like watching your favorite team play in game, you are excited, same goes with investing in your coin. You get excited to invest in your favorite crypto asset, then suddenly it starts dipping, then you begin to question your sanity and begin to have doubts. Same goes to your favorite team losing, here the losing is relative to dipping. You have swings of emotions, you might want to leave the game out of anger or disappointment. In this context, in crypto is called FUD. Fear Uncertainty and Doubt. Some leave the game, same as crypto accepting their loss even though the game is not over yet. While some stay just like the Hodlers.

While waiting and HODLING for both your game and portfolio, you see your portfolio or team having a nice comeback. In your heard, a movie dramatic sound starts playing at the background. Your portfolio breaks even(no win or loss), just like your game, you have a tie. Then suddenly it goes above break even and your portfolio starts having % profit and before you know it, your account is on a bullish trend. Making your account have a total profit of probably 250- 300%. At that moment your pride and confidence come rushing back just like the football fan in the image above. That winning successful spirit is great as a hodler.
