Testimony

Sometimes, all we have to do is just leave things to God and believe that he will come through.

I know that not all of us believe in a higher power, but a lot of us do. About an hour ago, I sat outside with my friend who decided for some reason that I was the right person for him to tell his testimony of how God helped him today.

This friend of mine isn't someone you would classify as a good Christian because he doesn't exactly go to church often neither does he pray often, but whenever he is in a time of need that's when he always remembers that he's a Christian.

Anyways, according to my friend, he had gone to bed the previous day with one single thought in his mind, which was what he was going to eat the next day. He told me that he had foolishly spent all of the money his dad had given to him the previous day by playing some sport betting and now, there was no one for him to ask for anything, not even his siblings because they all knew he got money from his dad.

So there was only one thing he could do and it was to pray to God for a miracle. Now he didn't exactly get on his knees to pray, but he said he had gone to bed with a heavy heart because he knew the next day was going to be tough for him but on getting to the next day (which was today), I had been the first person to knock on his door.

One of the guys who recently bought a television (along with other expensive electronics) at the hostel was celebrating and had called a few of us to follow him to an eatery to go get some food to eat. I had no idea he was broke and had nothing to eat, I had only gone to call him because his name was among those mentioned and after we all had eaten breakfast, someone else in the hostel had also given us lunch.

It was almost as if everyone was in a good mood today and they all just wanted to share that mood with everyone else which rarely happens. But as my friend continued to tell me his testimony, I soon realized that it was God helping him out. I didn't tell him this but I also was thankful for his silent prayer because though I wasn't broke and could afford my meals, his prayer did save me from a lot of spending today.

Anyways, I decided to continue the good work of the lord and made a secret promise to get him breakfast tomorrow. I call it a secret promise because I didn't tell him about it, I want to see the surprise look on his face when I call him tomorrow for breakfast. And maybe if this miracle will make him believe more in God and maybe even go to church more often, then why not?

I do believe in God and miracles. And no matter how small it may look you came through as a blessing for him and also through his answered prayers God blessed you too.
I'm sure he would be very gappy and grateful to see that you cared enough to remember, and even go the extra mile to get him food the next day. God bless you✨!

Miracles are real
God is real
And that's why we gotta trust God in everything that we do
I'm glad that your friend came to give you his testimony

He didn't know it but his testimony is what motivated me to want to help out.. That's why sometimes when God does something for us, we should always testify because it could end up bringing more testimonies.

Firstly your friend has done mistake by betting and its not a good thing. I hope he realised his mistake.

God always helps us in different ways whenever we suffer. But sometimes we are able to understand it and sometimes not. You will invite him it's may be the plan of God.

The whole betting thing is more like an addiction for him now.. I hope he gets help.

And you're right, God always helps us in different ways but we don't always know it until we really sit down to think about it.
