Silly Quarrel

One of the topics that didn't make it to this week's Hive Learners contest is "Ex-friend" and reading through the description it kinda brought back a memory from way back about an event that thinking about it now seems very silly to me. But I was really young then and had a lot of spare time to worry about useless things so I guess that was it.

What happened back then was actually a simple issue that kind of escalated into a whole different level. This friend of mine (let's call him Mr A) got introduced by me to another of my friend (let's call him Mr B) and the three of us became friends. I and Mr B lived in the same area while Mr A lived in a different area, so he was always the one visiting us.

Everything was going great between the three of us until one day when Mr A visited Mr B in my area and had later left without even coming to say hi to me. It was a bit strange but seeing how it was happening for the first time, I felt Mr A had come to maybe get something quickly from Mr B so he probably didn't have enough time to stop by and say hi to me.

This was a logical explanation and one my body and soul was pleased with so I accepted it as the right answer. But then it happened again and again and that was when I realized that something was wrong. Was Mr A avoiding me or was he upset with me, I had asked myself.

Now the reasonable thing I should have done was go meet Mr A and ask him what the problem was, but I was really young then and was already upset. Coming to my area three times to see a friend I introduced you to and not even stopping by my place to say hi became really really annoying to me so I got vexed.

I decided that if Mr A wanted to no longer be friends, then so be it. I wasn't going to beg anyone to be their friend, so I forgot about him and focused on my business. I still remained friends with Mr B because he had done nothing wrong to me and whenever Mr A came around, I would leave and not say a word to him.

This continued for some time until one day when I got a call from Mr A, I was surprised but still upset so I ignored. We never spoke to each other anymore and it seemed like that was the end of that friendship until some years back when I traveled back home and called him. The whole beef was now stupid to me so I decided it was time to end it and we did.

Looking back at the whole thing now, I feel so stupid and childish but hey, I was a bit young then and had plenty of time for a lot of rubbish so yeah, that was the reason.

Lolz, that was just the child in your acting and you would have called to ask what happened if it happens to be now.

Did you get to know what happened back then or your friend just decided to stop visiting you then? I have gotten into silly fights as well and today, I laugh about them.

Yeah, it was just kids being kids. Funny thing was that he didn't really see it that way, I didn't offend it or nothing, he just decided not to visit.

Actually we all are naive in childhood. I smile when I remember all the quarrels in my childhood. Niche presentation.
