My kid brother getting sexually assaulted
If there's one thing living on my own for the past five years has taught me, it is that there are a lot of homosexuals in this country, most especially in the state where I reside and unfortunately for them, Nigeria is one of the countries against homosexuality with a prison punishment of about 14 years if caught in the act.
One would think all of that would maybe reduce homosexuality in the country but it doesn't, it just made a lot of people hide who they truly are and now the majority of them do what they want in secret while trying to avoid the wrath of the law from getting to them.
As for getting sexually assaulted, I've come to find out that it's something that happens quite often, a lot of people just choose to keep mute about it, probably because they feel too shy or ashamed to tell other people of an embarrassing experience they had with their fellow man. I remember one time this young man who pretended to be a pastor was trying to get my friend to sleep with him.
He would go to my friend's home at night all in the guise of wanting to invite him for church services and then all of a sudden he's touching my friend all over. I remember how hard I had laughed when my friend told me about his experience, sadly laughing at him was the wrong thing to do because it's reactions like that that prevents other people from voicing out about things like this.
But you see, the experience with my friend had happened about two years ago, unlike that of my kid brother that happened about three days ago. My little brother had sent me a text on WhatsApp, telling me that he wanted to talk to me about something really important and that I was the only one he could think of opening up to at the moment, then he had proceeded to send me a five minutes long voice note on WhatsApp, narrating everything that happened and how this man that was twice his age had taken him to a corner and tried to force himself on my brother.
Luckily for him, he had ran and nothing worse happened aside from the unpleasant hands he had used to touch him all over. Immediately after listening to the voice note, I was fill with anger and had immediately forwarded it to my family's group chat and as expected, everyone there was furious too. We all wanted to beat the shit out of that guy, unfortunately none of us were close to where he was.
We finally resulted in reporting to my aunt who my little brother lives with at the moment and we're currently making arrangements to arrest the man, not for being an homosexual (we really don't care about that) but for trying to force himself on a kid.
If a person's age is still young and a person is doing such things, then in the next life he may have many losses, so it is better that whoever is doing this, we should all people that when they should not do such things until they are 18 years old.
I am just speacheless. Some people's action are worse than any animal. I think how they dare to do such kind of lame thing. I think you are doing right thing and that person deserve punishment. But I feel that person should be beaten hardly before going to a take a legal action through law. It's because I don't have enough faith on law in the current time.
That was actually the plan, to beat the shit out of him. Luckily for him, my dad likes to do things according to the law and wouldn't want any issues to come up while hitting the guy.
