My first defense

I decided to take a stroll into my school today (I was bored and lonely at home) to look around and probably watch the guys playing football for a bit before going back home.

As I stood at the school field, looking at everything and nothing in particular, a group of girls putting on a corporate white and black looking like they were going for an important interview caught my attention. One look at them and I immediately knew what they were there for and why they were dressed like that. They were per time/weekend students in our school who from the looks of their dressing were about to go do their school defense.

As for what defense it was, I couldn’t tell because I never asked them, all I did was just stare at them as I travel down through memory lane. About two, three years ago, I had my first defense too. It was a defense for my four month Industrial Training. The defence was a must for every first year student as we had external supervisors come ask us questions about the four months industrial training we had done at various companies and industries.

I had stayed at home during that entire four months but prepared really hard for the defense. I knew that if they got the slightest clue that I never did the training, it would be trouble for me as I would have a carryover for that and trust me, never have I heard someone having a carryover for an industrial training and I wasn’t going to be the first.

During the day of the defense, I had gone there with a blue T-shirt and a black trouser despite me knowing fully well that the dress code was a white T-shirt and black trouser. I didn’t have a white T-shirt then and did the only reasonable thing I could do, I waited until one of my friend was done with his defense and borrowed his T-shirt and booyyy did I smash that defense?

I was so convincing that even if the supervisor had evidence that I never went for the training, he still wouldn’t believe it. I ended up getting a B for the defense and that was more than enough mark for me.

The defense was fun but I never want to do something like that again. I hate defending things I have no clue of.
