Living Up To The Bad Reputation

Welcome to a day in my life.

Today happened to be the day where myself, along with my colleagues were scheduled to write our computer based test (CBT). The exam was scheduled to take place by 8am in the morning but I had gotten to the exam center by 10am because I know these guys at the exam center are so fund of the famous African time where they never stick to the agreed time and starts really late.

About thirty minutes after I got to the exam center, I saw a police hilux vehicle drive into the center. It wasn't a surprise to me or my course mates because this was something we were starting to get used to. During my seminar defense, security personnel had stormed the area to scare us into behaving ourselves. And they had done the same thing during the last day of my final exams and now they were here, with their guns during our computer based test.

Although if you ask me, I really don't blame the school for taking these measures because my department (Electrical Electronic Engineering) has always been notorious for being troublesome and always causing a lot of problems for the school and a huge reason for this is because the department is always filled with men, about 95% of the students in it are guys.

Anyways, the security personnel came and stayed for about an hour before leaving. I guess they felt that nothing bad was going to happen seeing how coordinated we all were. They were wrong.

The time was now 2pm and everyone was starting to get pissed off. This was an exam that was scheduled to take place by 8am and yet we've been in the school for six hours and it still didn't look like we would be allowed into the hall any time soon. So we had sent our general course representative (kinda like the class captain) to go find out what was happening and sadly, the information he came back with angered everyone.

It turned out that we had been taken from first place to write the exam to last place and this made everyone mad, even the class captain, so all hell broke loose. Everyone of my coursemate (including myself) went mad and so we all stormed towards the exam hall and forced the door open, pushing the guys behind the door who were trying so hard to keep us out.

The plan was to get into the hall and write the exam one way or the other, and if we were refused to write it, then we were going to destroy school properties. Luckily for us, it never got to that. Someone had quickly called our Head of Department (HOD) along with two of our lecturers who we respect a lot to come talk to us. At the end of the day, we had listened to them and they had figured out a way to make us the next in line to write the exam.

Right after we were done with the exam, we had celebrated our victory while also bearing it in mind that our bad reputation isn't going away anytime soon.

What to say 😅?. It seems it was fate that finishing can't be simple as you guys wanted. Whatever at the end nothing serious happened that's enough in my opinion. Now you are unofficial X student. Right??

Yeah, we're happy no one got hurt or arrested. I feel the students only acted that way because we were tired of always getting treated as the bad apple of the school.

If a person wants to live a good life here, then he has to have good manners with people. If given, there is no cure for such people, then the human being should be eliminated from them, otherwise the life of the human being continues in trouble.
