Mrs. B is doing well; she’s changing jobs and decided not to finish working with us. Well, life happens. No one forced her to stay until the end of the contract — it was even suggested that we could part ways sooner if she wished. Unfortunately, she already knew on Friday that she didn’t plan to return. She took all her things, left the keys, and then on Monday didn’t come to work, informing everyone that she was taking sick leave until the end of her contract.
We’ll manage, of course, but the unpleasant feeling remains. Personally, I never burn bridges with a previous employer — that’s why I’m always asked if I’d like to come back.
The children are well taken care of, and I believe we have so much love and empathy in us that no one was hurt in the process. We’re closing this chapter and moving forward. The new schedule is ready, everyone is cooperating, and no one is stirring up any chaos.
