I can undersand that you were embarassed when your model fell apart. It is good that your teacher and classmates did not ridicule you though. Parents do the best they can. You are not responsible for the circumstances that your family fell into. However you concluded correctly financial empowerment does make life easier.

In retrospect, I believe the embarrassment I felt was born out of the assumption that my presentation was going to be as good as the rest of my classmates. The eventual outcome proved otherwise.

The reaction of my teacher and classmates after my failed presentation was commendable. Their gesture towards me is a good example of actions that encourage in-depth learning, which can only be achieved by making mistakes and learning from them. I had grown much more before I appreciated the value of the support I received from them.

As for the financial situation of my family at that point in time, I acknowledged that it was not my responsibility and also appreciated the efforts made by my parents when our good fortunes changed.

Thank you for reading and sharing your opinion.
