My Actifit Report Card: August 24 2023
Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday wasn't exactly the most interesting day. It was rainy and stormy a good part of the day, which of course made outdoors activities a bit difficult. We did take a few breaks in the yard in between the rain. At first, Le Chat was glad to have company.
But I'm pretty sure that was her 'Okay, leave me alone now...' face!
And so we did: late afternoon as often, Kaia and I went for our daily walk. Just like the day before, no hope for sunset, so we just went to the forest. This is what we saw just as we entered it.

Of course, Kaia went on the hunt and came back a few minutes later, already tired.
We walked a little bit more though.
But every time I stopped for pictures or whatever, Kaia immediately lied down. Clearly, the heat and extreme humidity were affecting her (and me as well!).
So we just walked back home slowly while it got dark. Of course I couldn't resist snapping a few photos of the Moon. It will be full soon!
At that point, I really thought I wouldn't pass the bar for #poprzeczka. But some pacing during a couple long phone calls, and some more playing with Kaia in the yard (well, just me running around really, she was too tired...) were enough. Now I have till the week end to jump the bar again.

Thanks! Le Chat does indeed what Le Chat wants! Kaia is not really better unfortunately. She still limps often, especially at night, or after lying down for a while. But usually, she's mostly fine during our walks, and we also don't walk nearly as much as we used to. I'll give her a few weeks and we'll see.
Yeah, it's crazy how green this is. My lawn is usually all brown by early July, this year, it's still green! But we get too much rain actually, lots of flooding this year. Always the same problem, some areas get too much rain, while other don't get any rain at all! By the way, you know I'll be happy if we get as much snow this winter as the rain we got this summer!

Yeah, this Samsung astrophotography aka Moonshot mode is just incredible. There was lots of controversy about how much AI is involved, but all I know is that I like the results!

Well, not exactly a setting you can change. If I understood correctly, it kicks in automatically when you zoom in a lot on some celestial objects (mostly the Moon). It's actually fun when you point at the Moon and zoom in, it starts as a big blurry light ball, and suddenly becomes very sharp, and you can just snap it. Even some Apple fanboys were impressed when I showed them how it worked.
