RE: I am an anarchist
It always baffles me when people try to silence those who disagree with them. What do they hope to gain? Censorship rarely works in the long run. Often the act of censorship draws more attention to the thing you're trying to censor.
I suspect in a lot of cases it is an issue of cognitive dissonance. They run up against a view that they can't argue with (because their own viewpoint is wrong), and it deeply irritates them, so they try to delete that view from their environment. What it comes down to is fear that the view will catch on among others, and eventually it will be proven that they were incorrect all along. What a wound to the ego!
