Its really nice that you have this friends son to help fix these issues. I had 2-3 "do it yourself" mechanics for many years in a "do it yourself garage" where I just paid them to fix stuff in cash :) These days I use electrical new cars in an app which is all over the city, but most of the time I take busses and trains :)
