I Was Scammed by Yobit Exchange

I never thought that I would one day fall victim to a scam in the crypto world.

I have always been very careful in everything that involves my assets in cryptocurrencies, I am very cautious, very paranoid about digital security, but this time, I lost my money to a "garage exchange" that I never want to know the name of, Yobit Exchange.

I had around 2,000 DOGE in my Yobit wallet that I forgot in my wallet since 2016.

With the appreciation and up in Doge price, I wanted to transfer that amount (which at today's price gives about $ 200) to my wallet and sell a part to pay for some things, buy food, etc ... but, to my surprise after putting the address of my wallet, sending, my coins were retained "in process" and it’s been 48 hours .

I contacted Yobit support, nobody responds. In the chat on the exchange I was banned by a moderator after answer why support don't answer my tickets. All my tickets for Yobit Exchange support were either canceled by their operator or not answered. The "modus operandi" of this exchange is worthy of scammers.

For you who are from the USA or Europe, $200 may be nothing, but here in Brazil that money makes a big difference and this whole situation has destabilized me too much.

That's a shame. Maybe they will send them one day. I've read bad things about Yobit but they were OK when I used them back in 2018. Maybe try twitter, they might be keener to resolve the issue if you discuss it there? I never leave crypto on an exchange, unless there's no other option. I've lost some in the past too, it's a painful experience, when you see how much that could be now.

Thanks! I tried it on Twitter too, but, they don't respond. I've tried all forms of communication, but they never respond. I know I already lost that money.

Don’t stop until you get your funds. But I’ve had to wait 5 days once when I was using a “garage” exchange like that.
I hope you’ll get your money . Look for their Reddit.! They tend to respect that. Cheers

I tried everything about communication, but it seems that intentionally they don't respond. The support is very amateur and I don't see any commitment to the customer.

Damn, that really sucks man. I have been scammed before too. I remember having 300000 Earthcoins on Cryptsy and they disappeared... I hurts like hell, when those things happen. I hope you get your funds though!

Scammers should go to the fire! There is no greater crime than stealing something from individuals. Thank you friend, have a great weekend.

Complain in a public way (like you did!) but also use the social media sites that are popular: Twitter, Facebook.
