Sometimes Working Dads Need to Take Care of Crying Babies

My baby is ok, he's just unhappy because he's not with mommy and I'm not walking him around. I tried comforting him, singing to him, talking to him - everything that a daddy would try to console his inconsolable child. Everything except leave my station and walk him around, which is exactly what he was demanding.

He's usually such a happy, smiley baby!

Oh those tears! Poor baby!

Babies Crying is a Part of Family Life

His mamma is so good, she walks him around very often, when he's not taking his nap. Her arm sometimes cramps up because of all the baby walking she does. Between nursing time and walking time, he spends time in the bouncy chair (and cries) or he sits in daddy's lap (and cries) or he's walked around by one of his sisters (sometimes cries).

It's particularly tricky for me to entertain my littlest one, because of... well, work! Work for me is either monsoon or drought - and it's raining hard today. Not complaining, this might take care of months worth of bills for my family and it's a great way to begin 2022. But juggling family life (24 hours) and work life (8 hours +) can be a challenge at times.

Meanwhile, mamma is dealing with "my buddy" who is causing trouble. But everything will work itself out. We're going on a quick trip to the grocery store soon and all the children enjoy that!

I don't usually take photos of my crying baby, but I'm documenting what real life is like here at home and sometimes it involves some sad baby faces.

*Note: He's with mamma now and he's suddenly very happy.

Hello dear friend @ironshield good afternoon
I am very sorry for the situation you are going through, children always demand time for walks from their parents, it is the only thing that keeps them entertained. Supermarket visit success
have a beautiful night

Thank you, yes children can be demanding. But they are always worth the effort!

I don't know what it is about babies not wanting to just sit still. But this sort of thing is real and authentic. And super important for people to see that it's possible to build a business around your personal life.

Business at home with 6 children can be challenging, but it beats the alternative for sure!

I can only imagine since I never had any children of my own. Challenges but blessed that you can be there for them on a daily basis and watch them grow and develop. Just curious, are you homeschooling as well? Have a great weekend! 😀

We try moving him in a bouncy chair, and in our laps, but he's only content actually being carried around seeing new things.
