Floating without knowing how to swim is not so easy. In my eyes it extremely difficult to gather so much courage to float if you don't know how to swim. It's good to learn swimming but your life isn't going to end if you don't know.

Life could end if you find yourself all alone, surrounded by a huge body of water with no where else to go.
