I can understand what you said, and I also agree with you. Let me see it from a different perspective. People don't actually forget. They can bring trouble to your child, saying fatherless child or illegitimate child, which can add more suffering to you and mostly your child. His classmate will try to humiliate him again and again for the same reason. It's like people don't care about your good moments, but they won't hesitate to miss any chance to humiliate you and your chances.

You're right about people not forgetting.. But then again, most people don't care enough to want to remember.. Especially when whatever that thing is doesn't affect them directly.
