People Don't Care

If you pause long enough to take a break and just ignore the surrounding noise and the hustle and bustle of the city you're in, you will realize that at the end of the day, no one really cares. Everyone is so busy dealing with the problems in their lives that the least they can do is talk about yours for a while and then just move on because they've got a lot on their plate to worry about.

It's like when you first found out you're pregnant for your boyfriend and don't know how to tell your dad, who happens to be a pastor. Those first few weeks or months probably would be hell for you; the fear and the other seven million emotions going through you would make you feel like your life could end any moment, or you probably would want it to, just so that you could end all of that shame and embarrassment.

But by the time it gets to a year or two, that thing that once brought shame and embarrassment would suddenly become a thing of joy. Everyone would barely remember how you got pregnant but would instead be happy that they have a beautiful baby that they all can't get enough of. And then your life is back to normal, and suddenly it feels like what happened a year ago never happened.

Basically, all I'm saying is that all it will most likely take is time, and things might go back to the way they used to be. Now, having that in mind, tell me why you still fear what people would think or say about you. It's your life; you should live it the way you want.

Now, maybe the pregnancy example was a shitty one, but it was what came to mind when making this blog. All I'm saying is that no one remembers that two years ago, our hostel president tried to embezzle our hostel funds, and now he's almost everyone's sweetheart.

People don't care enough for you not to do whatever it is you want to do in this life. I know I don't have to remind you that we only have one life, and you should live it to the fullest.
