My name is Ifeoluwa Grace Olaoye.
The second of a family of six. My nickname is lorex/ifloye and I was born February 22. I am Nigerian. A Yoruba lady from Ibadan in Oyo state.

I am a graduate of the department of Linguistics and African Languages from one of the most prestigious school in Nigeria

I joined Hive because I have always been passionate about writing. I also love reading, taking pictures(of myself and beautiful things that catch my eye😊), having intelligent conversations, eating good food, cooking special delicacies and open to learning new things (put me through if you can)so look forward to most of my post being focused on these.

I am a broadcast journalist (News writer, Editor, News caster, Programme presenter) and a voice over artiste. I presently work in a radio station while running my online wears store and eLearning teaching classes on the side.

I am glad that you’re on here with us, your interests will help you fit in very well with the people in our various communities. We have some excellent writing communities, some food related ones, travel ones, photography and so many more. People are constantly posting in all of them so I think it would be great for you to dive right into them and get to talking to some people!

It’s also great that you have some people to help you along! That’s very important to have. I appreciate that you are sharing the content on twitter, the more we can share there the better!

One of the things I wanted to do is give you a piece of advice that could make this place awesome for you! Talking with some of the people who have been here for a while, we remember one of the best things we did was find other people’s posts through others or go looking and start commenting meaningful things. If you drop small phrases it won’t get you much attention but if you look at a persons post and leave a great comment, a lot of times they will appreciate it and talk with you. If you continue to do this you will develop a friendship with them and will gain followers and grow your account. This is not an easy and fast process. It takes time but the more effort you put in the more you can be rewarded, with limitations of course.

I just say this in hopes you go out there and really connect with people and grow your account. The more we all do this, the more people will come here to take advantage of such a great place.

With commenting and posting, we consume what’s called ‘resource credits’ and in the beginning you don’t have a lot, you have to earn more. If you want to consistently comment and post, the website https://giftgiver.site/ does 10 day delegations for you to increase your credits to comment or post. Give it a try if you need some! Please feel free to ask me about this if you are confused!

To @oredebby and @olesamuel for onboarding and its great that you put your story into a blog and left it here on the blockchain, so welcome, welcome to the Hive movement and blockchain. Your first blog is up and on the chain, hope you feel relieved, and not afraid of what is coming your way in the comments.
We know it can be daunting and frightening because all is new.
But you will have fun blogging and vlogging I promise. But in the beginning it’s hard and all is new and maybe you need help. We have amazing people here and a help discord if you need it. I love blogging, and was a newcomer once aswell so i know the feeling. The biggest and best advice is always be carefull with all your passwords, Never give those up !! I speak from experience !
I use Peakd to post to Hive. But hive.blog is an option too. They work well and let me know if you have difficulty.
