Lessons from the Bible Exposition held on 27th December 2021 via zoom

I joined the the Bible Exposition via zoom and I learnt a lot from the questions asked and the answer given by bro Eli.

In this video, I shared some of the lessons I learned from the Bible Exposition. Watch and be blessed.

• A question was asked about worshipping images and the answer bro Eli gave wa that God is a jealous God. He does not want us to worship idols. Only God Almighty should we kneel down to.

Deuteronomy 5:8-9 KJV
Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: [9] Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,

Revelation 22:8-9 KJV
And I John saw these things, and heard them . And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. [9] Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

• A sister asked about peer pressure and bro Eli answer was that being young is the right time to start serving God. You cannot be said to be an hypocrite for going to church as a result of peer pressure. Friends may come and go but we need God in our daily life.

Ecclesiastes 12:1 KJV
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

• Another person asked about sin and the response was that Man sin because of many factors but sometimes we sin because of our ignorant. Also, there is a being that put man in temptation. The flesh of man is not very strong. We have weaknesses but when we ask for forgiveness, God will forgive us.

Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

• What is the proper day of worshipping?
  Bro Eli answer was that worshipping God should not be limited by day. We can worship any day.

Acts 2:46-47 KJV
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, [47] Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

• Why is it bad to eat blood?
  The answer was that blood in the Bible is sacred before God. Blood is an offering of atonement for sin.

Leviticus 17:11 KJV
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

Hebrews 9:22 KJV
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

• Why does other religion worship status?
  The answer was, it is prohibited to worship status because they are false God.

• Is it correct to give an offering even if you are not a member?
  The answer bro Eli gave was that a true Church will not take offerings from non members just like the early Christians did.
