Queen Anne’s Lace
It grows prolifically here and all over the US. I can remember as a child, my mom would say it was part of what caused my severe hay fever next to Golden Rod. I’m inclined to think not as I have zero reaction to it although it’s true that I could have outgrown the sensitivity.
It’s also known as a wild carrot and according to what I’ve read on Google, is entirely edible. From the seeds to the flowers to the root. It’s said as well that it was believed that the red petal in the middle could cure epilepsy. Do your own due diligence before taking my word for any of this. Also be aware that I’ve read whispers of a look alike which might not be the healthiest for you as well. Isn’t it always interesting how there seems to be look alike sun the plant kingdom and whereas the real ones are fine, their counterparts are not!
Today at work went well and a bit draggy. We had a couple of no shows which explains the dragginess. It did however give me the opportunity to actually work on next week’s insurance. That’s a first! 😎👍

We’ve had a delay in Phoenix’s arrival. She will be here in the morning instead. They are going to take their time getting started on their trip as both have worked hard at work and they decided to sleep first. Wise for sure!

I read that it was believed some years ago, that the red petal in the middle of Queen Anne's Lace, would cure epilepsy. I don't know why or how it was supposed to work. I didn't read much further. There is so much in the natural world (after all, God made it) that have medicinal properties. We've just forgotten about them.

I'm not aware of the first plant, and its effects on human. Some plants we should just get away from.
Queen Anne's Lace is harmless and actually quite pretty. It adds a nice touch to flower arrangements and it literally grows everywhere!
