My Actifit Report Card: January 8 2022
Hey everybody and thanks for stopping by!
I slept in this morning. The stress of the past few days had caught up with me and I guess I needed the sleep. I also hate to do that because half of the day is gone by the time you get a shower! 🙄
I did some laundry and some basic stuff and then fixed lunch for us. Soon afterwards we were getting ready to go for a hike so I texted Jan to see if she was around. She met us at the drive.
It’s been a snowy day in the morning followed by a bit of sunshine and then back into clouds with drizzle. There is still plenty of snow around except in exposed areas as the wind tends to blow it away. We headed up to Towhee Ridge.
It was good to get out. Between work and our weather lately, I can’t even say when the last time I got up to Towhee Ridge!
The cougar tracks are still around but nothing super fresh. I found these instead and figured they are probably a squirrel. I think they’re too small to be a raccoon and honestly, I have in 21 years, only seen one family once and that was a good 4+ years ago. The type of tracks were on every trail we hiked and I know the squirrels are out as I had one dash in front of the car the other day. 🐿
We got home just at dark and we were all tired. Hiking in snow is harder than regular hiking for sure!
Cot and Cyle watching a little birdie eat a homemade birdie seed cupcake. I know what they’re thinking………..a nice juicy snack!

Actually, I didn't-my neighbor in the tiny house gave me 3 for Christmas. I am going to look into making some as the birdies sure have enjoyed them!
