My Actifit Report Card: August 22 2021

Are they gone yet? I’m so tired!!😽
That seems to be what Cot is asking. Our son Bill and wife Agi came to spend time with us this weekend. We hadn’t seen them since Christmas of 2019 due to Covid. From Cot’s and Cyle’s perspective, they were both busy hiding when they came! You see, they have this furry little thing (they aren’t sure what it is, as they’re not well versed in other species you see) but they did not like her!! That would be Phoenix, their dachshund/ Rhodesian Ridgeback doggy with energy like you’ve never seen! She almost flies when she runs!

It was interesting trying to find out where the kitties hid when she came in. We found two set of glowing eyes in the storage under the loft. Too bad we couldn’t get a pic!
This next set of pics is of their set up for camping. Bill built the trailer it sits on; it even has skylights in the tent!

It was lovely to spend time with them, but it was too short as always 😔
After they left we did something we never do and took an afternoon nap 😴 After a couple of hours, we got up and headed out for a hike. @actifit-lamb came along.
It’s been a wonderful weekend although I’m having ‘mommy withdrawal’ symptoms, lol! Oh well….😏

Hey sis! Yes, she did! Passed with flying colors! We really love her; she's a great person! Yes, they've got quite the camping setup for sure! They did it that way, because originally, this trip was supposed to be to Montana and there are rattlesnakes where they were going! This keeps them up high where no slithery creature, nor other things, can crawl into their tent! Thanks for stopping by sis!
Did they use it while visiting?
Yes they did! They wanted to be careful about covid because they had been traveling, but we did visit indoors with all the windows opened for ventilation, and in the end, I had to give them both a hug before they left. I couldn't allow them to leave without one. Bill said he slept the best he had in quite a while, so the forest here is indeed soothing, and maybe being home helped too.

Hi @thekittygirl! My kitties are MUCH more relaxed today because that d-o-g is gone, lol! They have had no exposure to those things before! I am missing them as we are really attached to them. His wife just got US citizenship last month; she's from Hungary, and is such a sweet girl and has been so good for my son. He's also my baby all grown up! Our cat used to terrorise dogs. Funny when our neighbor asked if we could stop it tormenting their alsatian.

Indeed! My son custom built the trailer and also a rack I didn't show, in the back of his X-tera. Solar power lithium batter and refrigerated cooler that runs on that solar power system. A pull out rack for food prep. Very self contained and very cool! Thanks for stopping by friend!

The dog Phoenix is an interesting mix of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Dachshund! She is extremely muscular and her energy knows no limits, lol! She is almost air born as she flies across the grass. A force to reckoned with! Thanks for stopping by, @dfinney! Take care!
