My Actifit Report Card: July 8 2021

Hey guys and thanks for stopping by!

Although a half day for the doc, it was pretty busy. I was glad when the day was done!

I came home and made coffees. Shortly thereafter, we met Jan and headed out for the evening hike. Although not too warm, it was a bit humid and uncomfortable. I dislike humidity!😝

An interesting fact about the forest here is that, as you can see from the photos, not much grows under a cedar tree and evergreen forest except the Christmas Fern, and a few other smaller plants. Yet, when the canopy is made up of deciduous trees, you have all kinds of undergrowth including the nasty stinging nettle that grows in hordes here! I’m guessing, without researching it, that it’s due to lighting and maybe nutrients that may be present or absent, depending. There is a definitive sectioning of the forest. Interesting…..🧐
