Some Thoughts...
It occurs to me that we live in shadows. Shadows of the past. Shadows of our fears. Shadows of the life we wanted but never had.
It takes a certain will to move forward in life. It's easy to dwell on the past. It's a comfortable place to dwell. We know the folds and twists. We know the hours, even the tough ones. It's all such a lovely place to linger.
But is it really? Or do we just tinge it with rosey hues and wash out the faults?
The past wasn't any better.
The only way is forward. Just avoid the temptation to douse that path with alcohol and other addiction. Some days I just want the end to be here. Forward seems a lonely and long path. I'm not sure I want that.
But I can't go backwards.
