And now the hopes are hanging on Fomo and companies and investors have started to buy bitcoin to catch some gains before returning to its previous peak above 60k. If these sentiments dominate the market, we may see a new ATH.

The current bitcoin price has reached $46,200, which means that it is about four thousand dollars away from reaching 50k amid high expectations from traders. Only this week, the price rose to reach an increase of 17%, but despite that, bitcoin has not yet outperformed Ethereum, which reached its height This week to 19%, but the daily performance of Bitcoin slightly outperformed Ethereum by only 1%.

That is, the competition is still fierce, but most likely the coming weeks will be for Ethereum after the new burning system. I even read on some groups on social media, one of them wondering: Can Ethereum definitely surpass Bitcoin? This is difficult, but not impossible.

If we look at the Bitcoin market cap, we find that 867 billion dollars, while Ethereum is 367 billion dollars, meaning that there is a difference of about half a trillion between them. This is a very big difference, I know, but it is almost a double and a half increase. As for the difference between Ethereum and its nearest currency, it reaches about 6 times, so the competition at the top is fiercer.

But despite that, Ethereum needs more faith than companies like Microstrategy to the point of withdrawing its balances from Bitcoin and putting them in it. Regardless of that, the increase in any of them is important for the rest of the cryptocurrency market
