Personally, I wouldn't even have wanted Maryann to get the position of "assistant senior prefect" she seemed quite obnoxious.
Vivian on the other hand, was lucky to have been chosen if not, Maryann would have constantly made derogatory comments about Vivian as the senior prefect. life would have been like hell for Vivian under the supervision of Maryann.
