Do not try to be friends with subordinates

Don't impose your companionship and friendship. You cannot be a friend and a boss at the same time - subordinates will not be able to treat you with due respect. If you try to become “a boyfriend”, then you will get nothing but a tense atmosphere in the team. Productive work is possible with friends, but only where this friendship is not imposed but arises naturally.

Ensure effective work through teamwork

Until you build a cohesive team, you will not see tangible results. A team in which everyone works on their own and for their own purpose will not help the company develop. An effective leader must unite the team or break it down into teams that will work towards a specific result. Each member of the team must understand that he is part of a larger mechanism that is working towards a large-scale goal.

Create a comfortable democratic environment in the team

The leader must stop conflicts in the team and set an example for his subordinates. This means that you should not hear any offensive jokes or attacks on your colleagues. If there is a person in the team who corrupts the situation, you need to part with him without regrets. Building democracy is an art: you need to allow people to take the initiative and say what they think, but at the same time control the process.
