[PL / ENG] Godula My Actifit Report Card: March 4 2024

Poniedziałek rozpoczęłam wizytą w szpitalu na Goduli. Zaparkowałam standardowo nieco dalej, bo tuż przy szpitalu droga mocno zwalnia i ciężko o miejsca parkingowe. Wołałam się przejść, a że do tego było ciepło, miło i słonecznie, to porobiłam parę zdjęć.

I started Monday with a visit to the hospital in Godula. I parked a bit further away as usual, because right next to the hospital the road slows down and parking spaces are hard to find. I wanted to take a walk, and since it was warm, nice and sunny, I took a few photos.

Szczerze mówiąc, nie przepadam za tą częścią Rudy Śląskiej. Dojazd jest średni (choć po kilku przejazdach przez dziwne chebziańskie rondo jest coraz lepiej i już mnie tak nie zaskakują te wszechobecne tramwaje), a na miejscu jest wprawdzie wiele zabytkowych budynków, ale jest też dużo straszydeł.
Na tych zdjęciach prezentuję ładne budynki.

Honestly, I don't like this part of Ruda Śląska. Access is average (although after a few trips through the strange Chebzian roundabout it is getting better and I am no longer surprised by those ubiquitous trams), and although there are many historic buildings there, there are also many scares.
In these photos I present nice buildings.

Ale są i takie, opuszczone, z dyktami w oknach. Przy tej samej ulicy, sąsiadujące z tamtymi odnowionymi.

But there are also some, abandoned, with plywood in the windows. On the same street, adjacent to the renovated ones.

Przy szpitalu, po drugiej stronie ulicy, taki kwartał starych domów mieszkalnych - prezentuje się całkiem nieźle.

Next to the hospital, on the other side of the street, there is a quarter of old residential houses - it looks quite good.

Po wizycie u profesora (Dzidzia trzyma się dzielnie, monitorujemy temat dalej), poszłam w głąb tych familoków.

After visiting the professor (Dzidzia is doing well, we continue to monitor the issue), I went deeper into these families.

Tędy jeszcze nie szłam - będą nowe metry do wandrera.

I haven't gone this way yet - there will be new meters to the Wandrer.

Wyszłam na miejski skwerek. Jest malutki, ale jak się drzewa zazielenią to pewnie będzie całkiem miło.

I went out to the city square. It's tiny, but when the trees turn green, it will probably be quite nice.

Jest tam też miła, nowoczesna kawiarenka.

There is also a nice, modern cafe.

Przejście skwerku to dosłownie dwa kroki wzdłuż i wszerz, i koniec. Tym bardziej zaskakuje kwota rewitalizacji tego terenu - pamiętam go sprzed lat, drzewa były, zieleń były, więc za co tyle? Za te parę ławek i jedną kulę - fontannę? Może ja się nie znam.

Walking through the square takes literally two steps across and across, and that's it. The amount of revitalization of this area is even more surprising - I remember it from years ago, there were trees, there was greenery, so why so much? For these pair of benches and one ball/fountain? Maybe I don't know.

0.6 nowych kilometrów. Może nie dużo, ale zawsze coś.

0.6 new kilometers. Maybe not much, but always something.

A potem nadreptaliśmy jeszcze trochę kroków z Bomblem :) jak on się rozkręcił na tym rowerze! Teraz największa frajda to zjazd z górki po terenach zielonych, na przełaj. Offroadowiec po Tatusiu ;)

And then we took some more steps with Bombl :) how he started riding this bike! Now the most fun is riding downhill through green areas, cross-country. Offroader after his Daddy ;)

Wisiały nad nami takie srogie, ciemne chmury, ale my byliśmy w słońcu i spadło na nas zaledwie parę kropelek.

There were such harsh, dark clouds hanging over us, but we were in the sun and only a few drops fell on us.
