Od ładnych paru dni katowickie internety huczą od otwartego po dłuższej rewitalizacji kąpieliska Starganiec, więc kiedy Bombel odzyskał siły witalne zapakowaliśmy go na rower i pojechaliśmy rzucić okiem.

For quite a few days, Katowice's internet has been buzzing with the Starganiec bathing resort, opened after a long revitalization, so when Bombel regained his vitality, we packed him on a bike and went to have a look.

Oczywiście rowerem, bo miałam okazję w ciągu tych paru ostatnich dni próbować przejechać przez ulicę Owsianą i dziękuję serdecznie, wiem już dobrze, że nie chcę się tam pchać autem.
Zresztą, rowerem to sama przyjemność, więc po co brać samochód do lasu?
O alternatywnych sposobach dotarcia pisał Metropolis Explorer (https://www.facebook.com/explore.metropolis) na fejsbuku. W komentarzach aż gęsto od jadu, bo jakże to, niech sobie te 20 minut spacerem przez las idzie kto inny, nie my! Lekutka paranoja. Jak dla mnie to i tak ten parking jest za duży, jakby go nie było, to może te malkontenty by nie przyjechały i na miejscu byłoby ciut luźniej, hehe.

Of course, by bike, because during the last few days I had the opportunity to try to cross Owsiana Street and thank you very much, I know very well that I don't want to go there by car.
Anyway, cycling is a pleasure, so why take a car to the forest?
Metropolis Explorer (https://www.facebook.com/explore.metropolis) wrote about alternative ways to get there on Facebook. The comments are full of venom, because why not let someone else walk through the forest for 20 minutes, not us! A little paranoia. For me, this parking lot is too big anyway, if it wasn't there, maybe these malcontents wouldn't come and it would be a bit looser on the spot, hehe.

A taka prawda, że na miejscu dzikie tłumy, nawet pod wieczór. Ciężko było rowerem przejechać, trzeba było grzecznie zejść i poprowadzić. A co dopiero pchać się na parking!

And it's true that there are wild crowds there, even in the evening. It was hard to ride a bike, you had to politely get down and lead it. What about going to the parking lot!

Abstrahując jednak od tłumów, których nie lubię, to chyba fajne miejsce. Natura, woda, miejsce na grilla. Musieli to tak rozpromować?

However, apart from the crowds, which I don't like, it's probably a nice place. Nature, water, barbecue area. Did they have to promote it like that?

A bywałam tam nie raz przed rewitalizacją. Poniższe zdjęcie z 2020 r. I wtedy wydawało mi się, że było dużo ludzi :D

I had been there before the renovation. The photo below from 2020. And then it seemed to me that there were a lot of people :D

Wracamy do dzisiaj. Niżej zdjęcie kąpieliska "na dziko". Zakaz kąpieli, brak infrastruktury, ale ludzie się kąpią, chyba zadowoleni, że bez tłoku obok.

We're back to today. Below is a photo of the swimming pool "in the wild". Bathing is forbidden, no infrastructure, but people bathe, probably happy that there is no crowd next to it.

A tu już plaża główna. Przeszliśmy przez to molo, wybudowane za 7 mln zł. Bo poza molem i boiskiem do siatkówki to niewiele widzę zmian w sumie, oprócz tłumów. Ale zapewne coś tam jeszcze zrobili ;)

And here is the main beach. We walked through this pier, built for PLN 7 million. Because apart from the pier and the volleyball court, I don't see much change in general, apart from the crowds. But they must have done something else ;)

Wspominałam, że to plaża główna? A jak tam u Was się mają zakazy kąpieli?

Did I mention this is the main beach? What about bathing bans at your places?

Bombel chorowitek, więc miał zakaz nurków. Ale biorąc pod uwagę, że temperatura powietrza to 32 stopnie, a woda jest ciepła jak zupa, to moczenie stópek chyba nie zaszkodzi.

Bombel's sick, so he was banned from swimming. But considering that the air temperature is 32 degrees and the water is warm as soup, soaking your feet probably won't hurt.

Ja natomiast dałam nura z rozkoszą. Powyżej w zakazanym kąpielisku, poniżej w mniejszym, ale dozwolonym. Różnią się chyba wyłącznie ratownikiem na pokładzie (choć ja ratowników nie widziałam). W każdym razie mam mieszane uczucia, bo pamiętam, jak drzewiej, zanim Starganiec był taki modny, przybyły tu dwie panie konno, i konie stanowczo odmówiły wejścia do tego mniejszego stawu i picia z niego wody. A z dużego skorzystały. Więc jakoś tak ufam końskiej intuicji i w tym stawiku kąpałam się z duszą na ramieniu (czego nie oddaje mój radosny uśmiech, bo kocham żyćko latem).

I, however, dived in with delight. Above in a forbidden bathing area, below in a smaller but allowed one. They probably differ only in the lifeguard on board (although I haven't seen any lifeguards). Anyway, I have mixed feelings, because I remember how, before Starganiec was so fashionable, two ladies came here on horseback, and the horses steadfastly refused to enter this smaller pond and drink from it. And they benefited greater one pleasantly. So somehow I trust the horse's intuition and in this pond I bathed with my soul on my shoulder (which is not reflected in my joyful smile, because I love life in the summer).

No dobra, to jeszcze parę zdjęć z trasy rowerowej do Stargańca. Cudnego leśnego duktu zdjęć nie mam, bo zawzięcie goniłam moich chłopaków. Ale tu, na tej patelni, już wymusiłam postój - bo po mijanych wertepach dosłownie kask mi spadał z głowy :)

All right, here are a few more photos from the bike route to Starganiec. I don't have pictures of the wonderful forest track, because I was chasing my boys fiercely. But here, on this frying pan, I have already forced a stop - because after the bumps I was passing, my helmet literally fell off my head :)
