[PL / ENG] Centrum Rabki - dworzec, rynek, Rabkoland / The center of Rabka - train station, market, Rabkoland My Actifit Report Card: July 28 2023

W piątkowe, lekko deszczowe przedpołudnie wybraliśmy się na piesze zwiedzanie centrum Rabki. Schodząc z góry, ze strony Parku, rozpościera się piękny widok na miasteczko położone w dole, z majestatycznym kościołem królującym ponad pozostałymi zabudowaniami (spoiler alert: potem zajrzymy do środka).

On Friday, slightly rainy morning we went for a walking tour of the center of Rabka. Going down from the top, from the side of the Park, there is a beautiful view of the town located below, with the majestic church towering above the other buildings (spoiler alert: we'll take a look inside later).

Sympatyczną uwagę zwraca na siebie budynek dworca, a zwłaszcza posąg przed nim. Oto Mikołaj, ten co zatrzymał ziemię i ruszył słońce, czy jakoś tak.

The building of the station, especially the statue in front of it, attracts sympathetic attention. Here's Santa Claus, the one who stopped the earth and moved the sun, or something like that.

Sam budyneczek dworca też jest bardzo sympatyczny.

The station building itself is also very nice.

Idąc wzdłuż głównej ulicy Rabki, mijamy takie stare, duże domy.

Walking along the main street of Rabka, we pass such old, large houses.

O, jesteśmy już pod kościołem Marii Magdaleny w Rabce.

Oh, we are already at the Church of Mary Magdalene in Rabka.

A do środka można zajrzeć zza krat.

And you can look inside through the bars.

Słynnym miejscem w Rabce jest Teatr Lalek Rabcio. To jego stary, przytulny budynek, obecnie już nieczynny.

A famous place in Rabka is the Rabcio Puppet Theatre. This is his old, cozy building, now closed.

Po drugiej stronie ulicy wybudowano bowiem z dotacją nowy, dostojny.

On the other side of the street, a new, dignified building was built with a subsidy.

Idąc dalej w dół rozpościera nam się wspaniały widok na Rabkoland na tle gór. To jedyne zdjęcie, bo spod wrót Rabkolandu - nic go nie widać.

Going further down, we have a wonderful view of Rabkoland with the mountains in the background. This is the only photo, because from the gates of Rabkoland - nothing can be seen.

Jest i moja ulubiona rabczańska rzeczka.

There is also my favorite Rabka river.

No i rynek, drodzy państwo - upodabniający się obecnie za wszelką cenę do rynku w Poznaniu.
Same remonty. Chyba poszerzają drogi. Cóż. Podobno kiedyś było klimatycznie, wąsko, swojsko. Ciekawe jak będzie po remontach.

And the market, ladies and gentlemen - is currently becoming similar to the market in Poznań at all costs.
Just renovations. They're widening the roads. Well. Apparently, it used to be atmospheric, narrow, homely. I wonder how it will be after the renovations.

Żółty dach - niczym słoneczko, którego w ten dzień trochę brakowało.

Yellow roof - like sunshine, which was a bit lacking that day.

No i to by było na tyle. Pora wracać do stęsknionego męża.
Do widzenia Rabko, do widzenia Poniczanko!

And that would be it. Time to go back to my missing husband.
