I never heard of giving the order on an ipad. Is it common at your place or is it just the restaurant providing the service this way.

Cold noodles.......! Are they really cold or is it just a name given to them for some other reason?

Many places allow you to order from touch screens now, saves them hiring more staff I guess :)

Digitalisation helps reducing the staff. That's true. My country hasn't reached to that level of digitalization
