Defensive lineman can be underrated at times, but having steady and consistent defensive lineman production and pressure is very important to a team's success. The world just saw what Rams' superstar defensive tackle Aaron Donald did in February on essentially the last play of the Super Bowl. Donald sacked Joe Burrow to lock up the win and destroy the Bengals chances at winning it all in the final minute.

University of Georgia's Devonte Wyatt looks like he can be an NFL team's core interior defensive lineman piece for the next five to ten years. Wyatt's playstyle reminds me of a boulder careening downhill violently. It looks like Wyatt is racing down hill on the field and swallows ball carriers.

Wyatt is fast in general. I can't say which aspect of his game he is fastest at, but his speed in all categories seems above average for a defensive tackle. The guy absolutely hustles in a savage manner, great effort. He's like a bear on the field when he is on his A game, just really sturdy and athletic. It may not be ideal, but I bet you could get away with putting Wyatt on the end of the defensive line from time to time. But his home is clearly on the inside.

Some other positives I like about Wyatt is that he has five years of collegiate experience and he's twenty-four years old. He played a year of community college before joining the Bulldogs. These kind of players that have a lot of experience and are older tend to be pretty productive NFL players. At twenty-four you're typically more mature than some other rookies. It also helps their overall NFL readiness in terms of helping an NFL team in 2022/23, ASAP.

Whoever decides to pick up Wyatt will have a well experienced stud that gives full effort. Perhaps he could improve on his pure brute strength but that's about it. Pretty well-rounded.
