Kyle Pitts 2021 NFL Rookie Card - Panini Rated Rookie - Atlanta Falcons Tight End

I've watched a lot of college highlights of a lot of NFL prospects over the past few years and I still remember being pretty mind blown after watching Kyle Pitts's college highlights last off season. He was just lethal while he was a Florida Gator from 2018-2020.

I was pretty pumped to see what he could do at the next level, as long as it wasn't against my Titans. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't have been mad at all if the Titans decided to draft him.

But the Titans didn't even get the chance to consider taking Pitts, because the Atlanta Falcons were the wise team to select him as high as the #4 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. At the time, this selection by the Falcons was met with mixed reviews by the football community mostly because people thought the Falcons had other team needs, but this selection quickly seemed to age well.

Being an NFL tight end is hard enough as it is, let alone being a top five selection. It's pretty rare for a TE to be drafted that high. Pitts is actually the highest drafted tight end, EVER!

Pitts pretty much lived up to the hype as a rookie! While he mildly benefited from the added seventeenth game, Pitts still achieved 1,000 receiving yards AND a Pro Bowl selection in his very first NFL season.

What makes Pitts even more impressive, or more scary if you are opposing defenses, is that Pitts played in four NFL games as a twenty year old in 2021! He played in four NFL games before he was legally able to drink in America.

In just a single season, Pitts has put himself on a solid trajectory to be a great. The guy's mind and body are really not even all that close to their prime if you think about it. A tight end's best years can often come around ages 27-33, this dude is not even 22.

Considering all of that, I hope this card ages supremely well! If Pitts can somehow become the best tight end of all time, this card would be LIT, LOL.

Tight ends can be NASTY for offenses. Kelce, Kittle, Waller, are all legit weapons in the NFL today. Hopefully Pitts can be a security blanket and a playmaker for the Falcons as they figure out their QB situation between newly acquired QB Marcus Mariota and their rookie QB Desmond Ridder.

This guy might really be a legend in the making!
