Four solid Titans depart the team!

The NFL is of course a business, but it's always slightly sad to see players leave the team. Especially as a fan! I'm grateful these players helped my favorite team succeed and gave their best effort. Even wealthy people's work deserves appreciation sometimes, ya know?

Not all of these Titans that left the team were on the team for super long, but they seemed to be good guys and good, competitive players that would be helpful on any team. Sad to see them go! Hopefully the Titans can find some solid replacements.

Who were these Titans that left the team?

CB Adoree Jackson

Adoree Jackson was the team's fastest, and overall best cornerbacks on the team. It was definitely tough to see a player like him go. He has been dealing with injuries in recent history and was set for a very nice contract. In a year where salary caps are lessened, all of those factors are what led to his departure in the end I would say.

When Adoree was healthy he was a very good and productive defensive player.

With Adoree Jackson gone, the Titans two first round picks from 2017, are now off the team. It's kind of sad.

This is the play I think of when I think about Adoree Jackson on the Titans. Back in his rookie year! This was a physical game against the Jags at the end of the 2017 season. This game sent the Titans to the playoffs for the first time since 2008! Adoree had a clutch forced fumble that was recovered by the Titans, right before the half! I always felt like this was low-key a huge play for the Titans!

Youtube is weird, but hopefully the video starts at the correct time. If there is any funny business, start the video at 3:47 mark to see his play.

In four seasons as a Titan, Adoree played in 46 games, while starting 41 games. During that time Adoree Accomplished the following stats:

  • 2 interceptions
  • 33 passes defended
  • 200 total combined tackles
  • 6 tackles for loss
  • 3 forced fumbles
  • 2 fumble recoveries
  • 8.8 yards per punt return on 53 returns
  • 22.3 yards per kick return on 27 kick returns
  • 55 rushing yards

Thanks you for your time in Tennessee, Adoree. Good luck with the New York Giants!

OL Dennis Kelly

Yet another tough player to see go. Good versatile offensive lineman are very tough to come by, and Dennis Kelly was one of those rare players.

On the depth chart, Kelly often found himself as a backup tackle. But his versatility often allowed him a way to find a lot of snaps in one way or another. He has the skills to play more than just tackle, that is for sure. He played many snaps at guard as well when the team's o-line was really banged up.

He was a player that the skill and willingness to play whatever position that was required of him on the line. Really high quality stuff. In his final season as a Titan he in fact started every game at right tackle and really played rather well. It's a bittersweet thing that he was a straight up starter in his final season as a Titan.

When I say that Kelly is a versatile player, I don't just mean the ability to play multiple positions, I also mean the fact that he's very well known to make touchdown receptions! He has one in the regular season and one in the 2020 AFC Championship Game!

In five years as a Titan, Kelly appeared in 74 games, and started 32.

These are definitely some fun memorable plays I will always remember from Mr. Kelly.

Dennis Kelly AKA 'The Undertaker' will never be forgotten! Thanks man! Good luck in your future career!

WR Adam Humphries

Adam Humphries didn't totally live up to what the Titans wanted when they signed him in 2019. But it wasn't all bad or his fault. He showed flashes of what he could have been in Tennessee, and he did have some nice games during his time here. Really what held him back was his injuries.

Despite all that he did have some great moments, like I said. But the play that really stands out for me when I think of Adam Humphries in Tennessee is his game winning catch against the mighty Chiefs in 2019! It capped off a tremendous comeback, and he took a good smack as a consequence, but it was a huge play I will never forget!

During his two seasons as a Titan, Humphries played in 19 games, while starting 4. In that time he accomplished the following stats:

  • 60 receptions
  • 602 yards
  • 4 receiving touchdowns

Thanks for your time in Tennessee Adam, good luck in Washington!

WR Kalif Raymond

Kalif was definitely a fan favorite in Tennessee, and for good reason! He was used sparingly on offense, but at times he could be really explosive. He was also a pretty reliable returner on both punts and kicks.

He was a small scrappy guy and a man of faith which all in all really helped him become well liked and appreciated. Another cool thing that helped is that two of his touchdowns in his entire career were in big games! One in a late season big game against the rival Colts in 2019 to help get into the playoffs and then another great and key touchdown in the same season during 2019/2020 playoffs against the Ravens. Huge touchdowns against rival teams in big games!

Kalif Raymond will never be forgotten amongst Titans fans. Here are the mentioned touchdowns!

What fun and epic moments! I need to get myself a Kalif card, ASAP.

In two seasons with the Titans, Kalif played in 23 games, while starting 4. During that time Kalif accomplished the following stats:

  • 9.4 yards per punt return on 27 returns
  • 20.5 yards per kickoff return on 33 returns
  • 18 receptions
  • 357 receiving yards
  • 1 receiving touchdown

Your time in Tennessee was appreciated Kalif! Good luck in Detroit!

The world of sports media and media in general, always wants to look forward constantly. Well sometimes I think it's good to appreciate the past and past players from time to time.

I wish all these former Titans nothing but the best going forward.
