Many years ago, my friend was in Europe and there was a labour strike.
The train she had tickets on couldn't go. So end up spending another 90 Euros (think about 12 years ago price) for a taxi to get back to Antwerp, Belgium.

Yah unfortunately we paid for our tickets and then hopped off and tapped off again, not sure if we had to pay for that or not due to this cos its on the card.
